When first starting Yakkle, you must login to the system. Enter your username and password as shown.
If you want the system to remember this username and password each time you run Yakkle, then select
the "Make this my default account" option. If you do not have an account yet, press the "Need an Account?"
button and follow the directions.

| Setting Your Status |

After logging in, set your status so that others who are also online can see if you are available
or not. By default, your status is set to "Available to Yakkle!" You can also type in an optional
message that others will see. If you don't want to Yakkle or are away from your computer, you can
select a different status by selecting the "My Status" button.

| Creating Contacts |
 |
|
Once you are logged in, you must add to your contact list. These are the people that you want to chat,
talk and share with. You will need to have their email accounts which must be either a gmail account -
example: testuser@gmail.com or a jabber account - example: testuser@jabber.org. Create new contacts by
clicking on the "Add a new contact..." button. You can also organize your contacts into Groups.
A Note About Adding Contacts -When you add a new contact, that user will get a notification that
you have added them to your Contact list. They must accept being added to your list and then you can
Yakkle with them. If they decide not to be part of your list then you will not be able to connect with them.

Users in your contact list that have the "Yakkle" Y icon on them are available for you to Yakkle with.
Select a user and press the Yakkle button. This will start a Yakkle session with the user you selected.
A Note About Yakkling - When Yakkling, you will be able to send chat text messages, allow others
to see and control your computer screen and talk with the other Yakklers. You should insure your speakers,
microphone or headset is plugged in and turned on before you start Yakkling. Each time your Yakkle
session starts you will be asked to pick you microphone, speaker or headset options.

| Controlling your Yakkle Session |

When a Yakkle session is in progress, your Yakkle tab now comes to life. The toolbar buttons and the users
you are Yakkling with are shown here. When someone talks, their Yakkle icon with be animated so that you can
easily see who's speaking. When they look at someones desktop, this will list which desktop they are viewing.
If you want to give them control of your desktop so they can control your mouse and keyboard, right click on
them and select the Allow Desktop Control option. Use the Stop Yakkling option to end your Yakkle session.

| Sharing Your Desktop |

One of the most amazing features of Yakkle is not just the ability to instant message and talk with others
but to broadcast your desktop out to other users. You do this by selecting the tab with your user name on
it in the Desktop tabs area. You will be given the option to share your entire computer screen or just a
portion. If you decide to share a portion, then anything that you put inside this shared window area will
be viewable by the users you are Yakkling with. If you decide to stop sharing your desktop, simply click
on the "Hide Desktops" tab. If other users are also sharing their desktops, then you can click on their tab and
view their computer screens.
